Superiority of our ancestors and our culture over western culture

– The circumstances of today, have become such that owing to not knowing the truth, we are unable to give proper answer to the allegations made against our ancestors. We cannot prepare ourselves for answering the allegations against our ancestors unless we feel proud of the deeds of our ancestors. Let us come forward to know the truth. Only by doing this, we can increase respect for our ancestors in our own eyes. Before expecting others to respect our ancestors, we ourselves should respect our ancestors and that respect should be inspired by genuine faith and not by blind faith. It is only by knowing the deeds of our ancestors that we can become mentally capable of replying to the wrong allegations made against them. We have to oppose, what has become a custom of not respecting our ancestors. By calling Hanuman a monkey or by believing that Shiva used to drink intoxicants, we feel that we are expressing the openness of our mind, but, in fact, we are insulting our own selves by saying or believing this.

-Most educated people consider themselves inferior to Western scholars. One of the main reasons for this is that Western scholars have their own dominance in the subjects, taught and studied by people of today. These are modern subjects and there has been little effort by us, since the last 2000 years, to reconcile western ideologies according to the beliefs of the Vedaas. But, when one of the two things is said to be superior, it presumes that we have examined both the things and the better of those two things is said to be superior. Whereas, before assuming western scholars to be superior, no effort has been made to know the works of our ancestors. Much work has been done by our forefathers about the basics of today’s modern subjects. Modern subjects are of no use without knowing these basics.

-All motivating and beautiful quotes, describing life have been written by western scholars. It shows how high their views are. If, they are so great, then, what have our ancestors done to make us think of them as greater than the western scholars?

Our ancestors not only discovered the source from which higher thoughts are born, but also found out that source and showed us the way to attain that source.

A glimpse of the greatness of our ancestors –

Nowadays, the topic of ‘Meditation’ is very popular. Meditation is done mainly for two reasons. Concentration and peace of mind. All Western scholars know these two reasons, only. But, our sages described the third benefit of meditation, in the texts written by them. We get this benefit only after getting concentration and peace of mind.

-Apart from the subtlety of the subjects, there is a big difference between the great men of today, who have written the texts and our ancestors, who have composed the scriptures. Our ancestors, who can be called the scientists of spiritual science in today’s language, have chosen those subjects in writing their texts, which are mentioned in the Vedaas in the seed-form only. Those sages have only elaborated on those subjects. It is another matter that this expansion or explanation is unique in itself. They believe that basically the subjects belong to the Vedaas and they have only tried to reveal the secrets of the words of Vedaas. In doing so, utmost care has been taken by them so that none of their words should be against the Vedaas. On the contrary, today’s speakers and writers give all the credit for their work to themselves.

-There is a very special thing in our culture which is not found in any other culture. All other cultures say that a person can assume infinite height, but, all these cultures indirectly believe that no one can become as great as their founder. But, according to our culture, all the living beings, who are today in any form or योनि like trees, plants, insects, animals and birds, they have attained the highest limit of humanity for an infinite number of times. Shouldn’t the culture that gives such views be called the best?
