Our most important tool for distinguishing between true and false is intelligence

Before accepting and knowing the truth, we need to do some preparation. We have to revise our assumptions and beliefs related to some of our subjects. It is just like that in order to see clearly, it is necessary for the eyes to be healthy. The foremost thing of importance in the direction of following the truth is intelligence.

– We have only one tool, by which we can find out whether something is right or wrong and that tool is our intellect. For many, their mother, father, wife, children, friends and good health are of paramount importance. But, to achieve and maintain all these, intelligence is needed. Accordingly, intellect is the most important thing for us. When, we cannot do simple tasks without intelligence like, buying vegetables, reaching the destination on time, fixing taps et cetra, then, to think that we can attain our ultimate goal without intelligence is nothing but foolishness. As such, there is no exaggeration in saying that our intellect is more important than our parents, health, time et cetra in our life. Our sanskaraas have become such that we use our intellect a lot, but as soon there is something connected with religion, we give up the use of intelligence, there. To sharpen the intellect, we have to inculcate the habit of using intelligence in every religious activity. We should not miss any opportunity to use our intelligence.

The intelligence is sharpened by education. Everyone knows this. That is why people send their children to good schools to make them intelligent. But, today’s education system does not make us intelligent, but, leaves us in this world, only by making a pool of some information. Even after getting higher education, we do not know the purpose of human life and the purpose of creation of the universe?

The real aim of education is to build character of a human being with discipline and love, so that one can be useful to one’s family, society, nation and the world. Education is not just to give information about the principles of subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics et cetra, but to tell a person, how the knowledge of these subjects can prove helpful in fulfilling the purpose of his existence. That is the real education. In simple words, it can be said that knowing these subjects without ethics is just gathering unnecessary information.

Let us go back to our old education system.
