What do we mean by ‘Tyag’? What is the relation between ‘Tyag’ and ‘Tap’?
To leave a thing is renouncement whereas to face the problems coming on the path of righteousness patiently and with peace is ‘Tap’. Many a time problems coming on the path of righteousness necessitate leaving things. As such, renouncement is embedded in ‘Tap’. Renouncement is meaningful only if, while leaving a thing, there is a feeling of happiness. Until and unless we are ready to sacrifice our time, money, pleasure et cetera, we can not do anything for the welfare of our family, society, nation et cetera.
