WHEN OUR SENSE ORGANS LOSE THEIR STRENGTH

In the old age, strength of our sense organs diminishes and with this deterioration, we fail to enjoy pleasures of this world. We cannot view television for entertainment for longer duration, we cannot read our favourite books for long, we cannot hear loud music, power of our taste-buds present on our tongue diminishes and touching a thing fails to give pleasure equal to that of olden times. Now, the question arises as to how to enjoy pleasures of this world when our sense organs lose their strength? The answer is-our sense organs are the only means available with us to enjoy pleasures of this world. In proportion to weakness of our sense organs, our power to enjoy pleasures of this world diminishes. But the enjoyment of bliss of God is higher than enjoyment of pleasures of this world. Door of enjoyment of bliss of God remains open as it does not depends upon strength of our senses. The need is to train our body and mind for enjoyment of bliss of God. Though, bliss of God is enjoyed by our soul but, it cannot do anything without the help of body and mind. We cannot give such training to our body and mind, when our body is old. For this sort of training we must understand in our youth as to what is God?, what is bliss of God?, why the possessor of bliss is God only?, how enjoyment of bliss of God is higher than enjoyment of our senses?, how enjoyment of bliss of God can be increased? et cetra.
