CREATION IS A REPETITIVE PHENOMENON

When the word ‘Creation’ is used in respect of this universe, it is not meant that something has been created by the Will of God out of nothing. Better word in this regard is ‘projection’. The material cause of the world, that is, prakriti never becomes non-existent. During creation of universe, this prakriti gets manifested only and that too in accordance with certain principles framed by God. This thought is given in Rigved. It rejects the thought of accidentalism in creation of universe. Rigved clearly mentions that phenomena of creation of universe is eternal like swaroop or nature of God. If creation of universe would have been an accidental event, then it would not have been necessary to think of God as an intelligent being. Rigved clearly mentions that God has created this universe like earlier times. The act of creation of this universe by God is not His first and last attempt. The creation of this universe is only a piece of the unending chain. The acts of creation and dissolution of universe are continuous processes of God and these acts can be called as eternal as nature of God. All the theistic sects of today end in declaring God as an impulsive entity, who can do whatever He likes. Such a belief has originated from the concept of accidentalism of creation and this concept has rendered the attributes of all-knowing, all-powerful, kind et cetra of God meaningless. Further, such a thought does not help in any way in development of a good culture. In vedaas, there is emphasis on the thought of eternalness of creation and dissolution of universe and His rules have been mentioned as eternal too. Eternalness of rules determine the pattern of development. We cannot know future. Whatever estimates, we can make regarding future are based on definiteness of these rules. For instance, rising of the Sun the next day can be known by us only by having a belief on the unfailing rule of God regarding movement of Sun and Earth.
